CANASTOTA, NY April 23, 2010 – Madison County Republican Committee Chairwoman Thérèse Wiley Dancks announced today the endorsement of three candidates for elective offices: Matt Doheny for 23rd Congressional District, Rick Bargabos for 111th Assembly District and Cindy Edick for Madison County Treasurer. The endorsements were made at the Committee’s meeting held at the Rusty Rail restaurant in Canastota on April 22, 2010.

Mr. Doheny is an Alexandria Bay, NY native who currently resides in Watertown and works as a portfolio manager for Fintech Advisory. He has previously been endorsed by the Oneida County Republican Committee and several other county chairs in the 23rd Congressional District. Rick Bargabos, a lifelong resident farmer of Madison County who resides in Smithfield, NY, received the Committee’s endorsement for the 111th Assembly District. He was previously endorsed by the Oneida County Republican Town Committees in the District. Cindy Edick, of Eaton, NY, currently serving her first term as Madison County Treasurer, received the Committee’s endorsement to seek reelection. All three candidates received the Committee’s overwhelming support.

Dancks said, “I congratulate all of the candidates who sought our support. We are very excited about our endorsed candidates and look forward to this fall’s election season,” Dancks also stated, “Doheny’s business experience helping distressed companies recover from financial disaster is just what we need in Washington; Bargabos, with his farming and other small business interests, understands the concerns and challenges facing the residents of the 111th Assembly District; and Edick’s exceptional organization and accounting skills have improved the fiscal stability of the County.”
